MedStar Health: Urgent Care at Germantown

I brought my 23-month-old son to Patient First and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment we were seen, the doctor was extremely abrasive and came across as rude. When trying to examine my toddler’s eye, we were told to “apply our weight on him” to keep him down. Naturally, he was in a state of panic — he’s not even two years old and didn’t understand what was happening. As we tried to soothe him, the doctor responded, “I’ve been doing this 45 years, he’ll be fine,” which felt dismissive and lacking compassion. We were especially taken aback by the lack of patience and understanding shown toward such a young child. The staff is excellent. The provider on duty was exceptional, very helpful and professional. I could not have had a better doctor. Every staff member from Laura, my first contact to the medical doctor were great. Incredibly helpful and professional. I developed a strong liking for Medstar as a result of this experience. Kudos to the entire staff. It’s a wonderful team. I won’t hesitate to recommend Medstar at this particular location to any of my friends, and family members. Nice people!

I could not ask for a better experience. The woman at the front desk was way more helpful than I could ever have asked for as I needed a quick physical because I need surgery tomorrow, and this is all based on the fact that my doctor had an opening. The doctor took care of me with all the testing that the nurse did and it all went fantastic. I highly recommend using this urgent care again and again and again.

I'll go back again. I was able to make an appointment (same day) and see a medical technician after only a short wait. She was very professional and answered all my questions. Highly recommended.
