Dr Vinay Deshmukh is an outstanding neurosurgeon and possibly the best in the Washington DC area, if not the entire East Coast! I had previously received cervical surgery through Inova for a compressed nerve in my spine. Unfortunately, those surgeons were only interested in replacing degenerated discs and did not do a thorough exam of why I was unable to use my bicep and deltoid muscles in my right arm. It was only through Dr Deshmukh and Medstar that I received a thorough analysis of my issue. Using his god-given talent as a extremely knowledgeable and skilled surgeon, Dr Deshmukh was able to resolve my issue by decompressing the nerve in my neck that led to my bicep muscles, thereby allowing the nerve running in my right arm to function again. I cannot thank Dr Deshmukh enough!
