Medilodge of Plymouth

My mom was sent there for rehab after a bout of pneumonia. Staff was friendly and nice but place is horrible. Dated, unsafe and the food is disgusting. My mom was there for 3 days. I found her day 2 still in clothes from previous day. Soaking wet and not cleaned properly from her last trip to the bathroom. Next day same thing. Was never given a shower. No alarm on bed . They just put a 40 year old mat next to her bed to catch her . Found her day 3 hanging half off the bed. They moved her to another room so they could supposedly watch her because she kept trying to get out of bed, but never cleaned the room from the previous person. Nobody ever even at the nurses station to watch her. Just a horrible place all around. I sat in her room for 4 hours with her, they never even came in to che

Heartbreaking. Not one indication the place is what was advertised. Working to get my mom transferred as soon as possible. She is there for rehab. She needs assistance walking to the bathroom. Nusre told me they couldn't assist her .. they will put a brief on her. I got upset and told the staff that was humiliating. She is there for rehab to be able to get to the bathroom on her own. A nurse then assumed me they would assist her. Once I left ... that didn't happen. My mom was told to go in her pants they will check on her in a half hour. The room she shares is so small the staff couldnt get a wheelchair in the room without disturbing the other patient. The TV remote controls the volume and channel for her TV and the other patients. Every question I asked. I was told... I don't know

WHO OWNS THIS BUILDING? IS THIS HOW YOU SHOVEL SIDEWALKS? I am also a business owner and would NEVER leave my walkway looking like this! My daughter uses the corner of maple and Hamilton to wait for her bus and this business didn’t even bother to shovel the snow there!! The lack of caring for the neighbour’s safety of this establishment amazes me! Look at the pictures of how this PUBLIC sidewalk was shovelled and not shovelled!! If the outside looks like this I can only imagine what the inside looks like. SHAME ON YOU. I am not the only neighbour mad about this situation!!!!

I don't know how this place passes inspection. The halls aren't wide enough to get two wheelchairs through, look at the drapes in my father's room with holez on it. There wasn't a chair in his room for me to sit in. They brought in a aluminum folding chair finally. They nursing staff seemed very caring however.

My mother was here June of 2023. As an Occupational Therapist of 28 years- I would tell you to go anywhere but here!! Short staffed; staff there doesn’t care…. My mom doesn’t need the Hilton as far as aesthetics, but she needs decent, reliable and honest care. Care was very sub optimal; therapy was poor at best ( and I am an understanding OT!!), no room phones and no one to answer the facility phone number -much less a nurse or a nurse’s aid. Would NEVER put my mom here again!!! 😔♥️♥️ Run away from this facility!!!
