I feel incredibly blessed to have found an exceptional Physical Therapist in Alicia Haseltine in Sitka, AK. Last year, when her business “Medicine by Movement” was still a fledgling entity, she came to my home and addressed some nagging structural issues for me. She also met me at the local gym to instruct me on site with some equipment and exercises that would benefit me. This fall, when I returned to Sitka, I had a painful foot injury that was limiting my ability to walk. Thankfully I had Alicia! She quickly identified the root of the problem and has helped me remedy it with passive and active physical therapy work. Medicine by Movement, Wellness and PT has not only given me a means to exercise when I had Post Tib tendonitis but also introduced me to dry needling which finally healed that problem of 8-9 months. Unfortunately, the first day of gardening this spring I strained a lower back muscle but was able to get in to Medicine by Movement the next day for evaluation and treatment.
