Medical/Dental Clinic MCAS New River

Tried to call and make an appointment because i tore a calf muscle yesterday and the ER couldn’t diagnose me so they said to call the next morning but the woman who answered the phone at new river medical was extremely rude. did not want to hear what i had to say when i said i wanted to schedule an appointment. when i tried to explain my situation she kept interrupting me saying i need to walk in to schedule an appointment, without even taking any of my information down. i tried to explain i can’t walk but kept saying i need to walk in to schedule an appointment and was very deflecting, trying not to help me out.

If I could put this at -0 stars I would. I came here in February off of a secondary assignment as I had some post tour issues to deal with. I follow policy to message these cats on MHS Genesis per guidance. Well, I did that and scheduled a appointment early May and went to it. Once I got there, they told me.. oh your doctor is not here. We are gonna have to cancel your appointment and didn’t even attempt to do a date, they told me to either call or reschedule it via MHS Genesis. It took me 4 WEEKS just to get in touch with SOMEBODY and they called my shop and were blunt about setting up a date and were unprofessional about it. And its not even a quick one. Even prior to this, I even made phone calls and not ONE answer. Straight to it, hands down worst medical experience I have ever had

Cannot pick up refrigerated medication on a Friday at this location, it gets sent back to NMCL pharmacy in case of power outage. Told to come back Monday, reach their doors by 1550. Closed before their scheduled hours. No holiday. I would greatly appreciate if the establishment would actually be open during their posted hours of operation.

Hard to know where to go and staff generally is unfriendly (except the actual doctors). Nobody ever answers the phone. I get that it gets busy, but answering the phone and directing patients is literally the main job of a receptionist. Also they require you to be in uniform for anything, and will turn you away if you show up in civilian clothes while on leave even for a scheduled appointment

How are you a medical facility and you can’t answer the phone? There is absolutely no excuse you can say for this. If you’re that “busy”, HIRE MORE PEOPLE. I’ve been holding on the line for over 25 minutes for someone to answer to just set my first appt with my PCM. Ridiculous. Do better. Your response will be invalid like the rest of them on here. So we have time to comment, yet we can’t answer a phone. Yes, your reply’s are INVALID.
