MD Now Urgent Care - Port Charlotte

I was very impressed with the friendliness and professionalism of the staff from Mercedes, the receptionist, who made us comfortable and offered us water, to Amber Velez, the entering nurse, who collects the vital information. The doctor, Dr. Joseph Sassano was very thorough and knowledgeable as well as personable. He very quickly diagnosed my problem and prescribed the required medication. Then he went that extra mile and answered all of my many questions about the pros and cons of the prescribed treatment and was careful to explain possible interactions among different medications being taken. I definitely wouldn't hesitate to go back if in need. Medical issues always seem to come at an inopportune time when it's great to have a facility such as MD Now open seven days a week and late

Fantastic experience. Caring employees from everyone. They were nearly reaching closing time when I was developing an allergic reaction. I called ahead and the staff waited for me to arrive. Checked me in quickly and I was triaged and seen by their PA with an injection already in hand. I was observed. Treated with appropriate meds. And recheck on my vitals. This is the kind of office you want to be seen in ....where patients matter and come first. Definitely my go to when needed.

By far the worst walk-in clinic I’ve ever gone to had to wait three hours to be seen granite. A few medical emergencies came through the door, but the people should’ve had the common sense to go to the emergency room rather than going to a walk-in clinic if you were definitely feeling sick, I do not recommend this place to go to find an alternative means of getting medication. I was so thankful to find quality care while on vacation! I was able to be seen, pick up prescriptions and still enjoy most of the day at the beach. There is online check-in to save time! Also, I was able to see my place in line! The doctor that examined me asked important questions and felt very thorough!

Not being from here, I was in need of an Urgent Care, basically a shot in the dark. I called ahead to make sure they took my insurance, was told they did accept it.(they didn’t). I was told at that same time that if I got to the clinic at opening time, I would be seen. Had a 2 1/2 wait after getting my waiting place inline, from the office. You still have to book a time online (but they don’t take appointments, go figure that one out). I was given a minimal treatment, and sent on my way. I called later that day, had an issue with the medication, was told I would get a call back day. No call. I wouldn’t recommend this clinic. If you have insurance, be sure to go through your insurer’s website in advance, there are other urgent care clinics around. Oh, and if you think you’re going to get a
