MCH Healthy Kids Clinic

I would recommend Dr. Merry Hart at MCH Healthy Kids Clinic. Dr. Hart and her staff are very respectful. Dr. Hart is always willing to listen to any concerns you may have and takes the time to explain everything clearly. I’ve been taking my newborn and they are very careful handling her. It is also easy to make last minute appointments with them (which is something that is not easy to find in Odessa.) my daughter was at the hospital and I informed them of what had occurred and the Dr. asked to see my baby to do a follow up and make sure she was doing well. I truly recommend her😊 if you have to pay out of pocket they will also work with you.

We love Dr. Bertha. The reason I give 2 stars is because of their sick appointments policy. Apparently this is new. But you have to call in the morning & be seen the same day. If you call in the afternoon they wont make you an a future appointment. They only take same day sick appointments & you must call in the morning to make it. Ridiculous, as kids can get sick at any time of day. I'm going to have to look for a backup pediatrician somewhere else.

I have been going here since my son has been a baby. It has been for 8 years now. I have taken multiple children through out those years. I can’t complain about the physicians or nurse practitioners, they have been great. I do have a complaint. The reception staff needs to be trained and over seen better. They have always been polite, however it is clear they do not know how to properly answer a phone. I am not super old and have crazy high standards, however I have been a manager at multiple places. You do not pick up a phone call and say hold without a response. This is poor quality training and service. As a Christian, author and a minister of God, I cannot recommend this place. Over a year ago my son saw Dr. Hart at this clinic, and while my husband and I had a conversation with her over the phone about our son's health and how he couldn't go outside during recess at certain temperatures during the day because he gets sick extremely easy. This doctor told me to go back to my country. We reported the issue with the manager Kendall and she didn't do nothing about it, as this is a racial slur. So we chose not to go there again because of this issue and lack of respect. Not too long ago, a representative from our insurance company and my husband called to see if our son could be seen there by another practitioner, and he was told that he could. They take forever to answer the phones. They never have appointments until after the kid is feeling better. Do not call because the ALWAYS put you on hold forever. Dr Cearly is very good Dr but the staff in front there BAD!!!
