MCG Hospital

I had surgery and there were some complications, they were sending me home and in the elevator I couldn’t breathe. I tried to get out on the 3rd floor and passed out face first on the floor. I was kinda in and out. I heard the “ladies” at the nurses station talk about “how they had to use the bathroom, or get something from their car”. Turns out I was internally bleeding and had to be put in a coma for a month. I almost died because no one could be bothered.

My daughter was recently admitted and I was totally disgusted. The room was not properly cleaned and the bathroom looked like the public ones look in the er. Hair was all over the bathroom from the previous ppl that stayed I’m gonna assume. Tub was not properly cleaned at all. Literally had to ask for housekeeping to re clean it. To me that is unacceptable. When they did come they were disappointed. I just feel these hospitals need to attack their cleaning crew like it’s bad enough that it’s germs all through there as it is. No one should have to see filth or request it be cleaned when they are being treated. That should be the least of their worries.

While my son was at MCG he had some wonderful nurses. I hope they see this Paula & Haley and also jamkiea did such a wonderful job caring for my son & having such wonderful patience’s with him. I can not thank you enough . I’m sorry if I spelled your names wrong . I hope you ladies get to see this. Gabriel thanks you as well & made him feel safe and ok. He was in room 4927. He still has a long recovery but we are home . I can’t thank yall enough . ❤️

I really wish I can put zero stars them people at MCG ER are a joke it's just a job for them!! I repeated told them my back hurts and she told me she did a physical exam which was me looking at her nose while shining a light in my eyes and checked my throat and they gave me a shot and my back still hurt when I left, and I stated that and I showed concern in my health and ask can they do a urinalysis or x-ray the nurse said I didn't need that and she went to get her supervisor and came back in my room and said "ma'am we did all we can do for u and walked off and mine u I didn't know my way out the hospital! Just rude people made me feel like I wasn't worth anything!I would never go back here EVER!!

MCG ER is harder to leave than sign in. 3+ hours after doctor said I could go home and still waiting for discharge papers. Been here for more than 7 hours. ER is severely understaffed. Dirty. Covid waiting room has not been cleaned. Transport chairs not wiped between patients. Bathroom filthy.
