McCurtain Memorial Hospital

My family and I will avoid moving forward. After waiting 7hrs it was clear the facilities new face lift can’t hide the lack of professionalism and care for ALL of their patients. Busy or not, ensuring your patient receives the best care and being willing to make a phone call is the least the ER NP could do. And the unbothered attitude was felt by many! P.S. your X-rays were described as crap by other providers.

updated* it somehow gets worse* Do not go to this hospital!! All of the other reviews regarding “fraud” and having bills sent to a debt collector without knowledge is true and exactly what happened to me. They input my insurance information in the system incorrectly, never reached out to me regarding a bill and sent $4k to a debt collector months later. I had to call the hospital NUMEROUS times to have them correct it and send the claim back to my insurance provider. After two months, still no response to the claim was sent and amount not adjusted. It has now been ten months and I am approaching the deadline for insurance to file the claim. I will also be reaching out to the BBB. This hospital is trash. The hospital finally sent a bill and it was incorrect! Go figure, they messed up agai

*after leaving this review my son almost passed away due to severe malnutrition and dehydration due to Pyloric Stenosis. Nurse Joy at Dr. Herrons office attempted to say that I abused and neglected my child. Nobody took me serious for over two weeks. Nurse Joy at Heron’s called CPS on me for attempting to get help for my child. Stating that I had left bruises on him and had been starving him. They rushed him to the ER and left me as a first time mother panicking in the waiting room not allowing me to see him as they tested him for many different issues. I begged for answers for 2 weeks. For someone to take me serious for 2 weeks. And nobody listened. My son almost lost his life due to the negligence of both Nurse Joy at Heron’s office and the staff at Idabel Hospital. Something is seriously wrong at this hospital. Visted while family member was admitted to patient floor. The facility is dirty...dust so thick on door jambs of patient rooms you could write on it, patient bathroom was saturated in grime. As I walked the hallway there was water damage on most of the ceiling tiles, with mold that was present. Whew, if you weren't sick when ya came in you might be for sure after spending time here visiting. Hate to be so negative but I've never seen such unclean conditions in a Healthcare facility. State health department needs to seriously inspect this hospital. Yikes! I hope I'm never in need of healthcare an find myself at this hospital.

My wife and I are from Texas. We were visiting Oklahoma on vacation when my wife became ill. I drove her to McCurtain Memorial Hospital. We received the most attentive care from the friendliest staff I could have hoped for. They were genuinely kind and considerate. The hospital was clean and modern in appearance. The chaplain stopped in and prayed with us. I am truly grateful for the authentic care and compassion of this ER Team.
