We had the most amazing experience for our 5 year old! He had a tooth abscess that needed to be removedd- they got him in asap and from start to finish everyone in the office was amazing. He didn’t even shed a tear getting the tooth extracted. They kept him comfortable and informed him step by step of the process in the way a 5 year old would understand. I couldn’t recommend them more- so thankful for the excellent care they provided my son!

From the initial request phone call to the visits, everyone at the office was extremely professional and kind! I found the office by posting on a local Facebook page and 2 employees responded! Lisa and Abby are awesome! I had to have a scan done and the technician whose name escapes me was incredibly gentle as well! The dentist was so kind and understanding. The ladies even told me about Pay with Cherry which was incredibly easy and fast. 5 stars to everyone at McCarthy Dental in New Bern NC

I am relatively new to New Bern and was not previously a patient. I broke a tooth and was told by my old dental office that I needed a crown on my tooth. For several reasons, I decided to find another dentist. So I called McCarthy Dental. They worked me in the same day. Their staff was above and beyond! They were very friendly, extremely knowledgeable and they all came by and spoke with me. They are trained in the latest dental technology, which is wonderful for me! They can do my crown in 1 sitting (no temporary crown! And no plaster molds!). They do computer imaging, and make their own crowns in 1 day. And the quote they gave me was about $300 less than my old dentist! We scheduled the crown to be done, and later in the week they had a cancelation and called me to see if I could move up

I need to preface my experience by agreeing with what the majority of the other reviews say: McCarthy Dental is a warm, welcoming office that knows their stuff. The dental team is nice and knowledgeable, and if you're lucky, you may be get to see a couple of happy dogs. I hate to write the office a lower-star review because my experience with them in-person was nothing short of great. As you might expect, then, my review centers on poor communication regarding insurance and billing. Before leaving my appointment, I paid a 5% copay because my dental insurance (Cigna) was not "fully" in-network. I was perfectly okay with this given that the charge appeared reasonable (no more than $10, if I recall correctly) and I couldn't seem to get into another New Bern-based provider anytime soon. I als

I am a new patient at McCarthy Dental. My experience was Wonderful! It started with the Staff up front. Very Nice, professional! Taylor was great! Wonderful cleaning, explained everything so I could understand about my teeth. Dr. Boles Was Very Nice, helpful and she explained to me about my situation so I would understand! I would highly recommend McCarthy Dental!
