Maxem Health Urgent Care

I went there today against my better judgement. I arrived at 12:55 signed in and waiting two hours. I was swabbed for COVID, FLU, and STREPTOCOCCAL. The nurse practitioner came in didn’t say anything but what all have you been diagnosed with. I gave my typical rundown because I’m not a complainer. She did not give me my test results she said oh it’s protocol to do a chest xray. I said ok so when the young lady at the front called me back I said what am I doing a chest xray for because she didn’t even tell me my results. The nurse practitioner then said she gave me my results and when I told her I had been there for TWO HOURS she basically said I was lying. The care that the team gave was top notch. The receptionist was kind and friendly. The doctor knew her stuff and was able to diagnose me right away. The wait time was fast. I was in and out with no problem. I recommend this place to anyone who is needing urgent care. Excellent service.

Mrs. Powe was very welcoming and nice. She was very knowledgeable and attentive. Also what matters the most is she listens to you, that is very important to me. She’s an excellent Nurse Practitioner. Overall, my experience at the clinic was awesome. I would most certainly, recommend this clinic to family and friends. Also, all of the staff are very kind and you’re always greeted a kind way when you’re walking into clubs.

I recently visited Maxem Health Urgent Care in Flowood and had an excellent experience. I was seen by S. Powe, NP, who was professional, personable, and exceptionally thorough. She listened to my concerns, performed a careful exam, and clearly explained her findings and the treatment plan, including follow-up instructions and what to watch for. The clinic was clean, efficiently run, and the front‑desk staff were friendly and helpful — my wait was minimal. I highly recommend Maxem Health Urgent Care and S. Powe for anyone seeking competent, compassionate urgent care.

Front desk worker brown skinned lady about 25-30 is rude, extremely unhelpful and has an inadequate knowledge of how out of state insurance works in regards to urgent care visits. My son was in need of care, but was denied care because I have an HMO. We ended up going to another urgent care as a result of her incompetence. Training on exceptional customer service, medical billing, insurance policies and procedures is much needed.
