Following a ureteroscopy procedure I experienced significant pain. I was told by Dr. Sheldon’s nurse that my pain was psychosomatic. As a retired RN I am appalled by the flippant and disrespectful response to the pain that I reported. It is arrogance to assume that you know what someone else’s pain is. I had requested a medication to control the pain for the follow up stent removal process. Instead of a pain medication I received a prescription for Valium…not a pill for pain control but for anxiety. If the pain is under control then for me there is no anxiety. Pain control was always first in my practice as an RN but perhaps not so much with Dr. Sheldon’s office. Additionally the practice is extremely busy. My husband had prostate surgery by Dr. Sheldon. He is over the top in excellence, bedside manner and will answer every question you have. We recommend him highly. I've been in the medical profession for over 40 years, I've never known a doctor as good as he is.

My husband was a patient of Dr. Matthew Sheldon. Last year he was told they found a mass on his prostate, Since in the past he was fitting cancer and had a really bad experience he want Roswell to check him incase it was cancer. Today I call to set up an appt and letting them know he needs a script. The receptionist which she was not friendly at all told me per Dr. Sheldon he can not schedule an appt and he will need to contact Roswell for his script. Dr. Sheldon dismiss him from the practice with no good reason. It is so upsetting this doctor dismiss him from the practice for that reason.

Kinda butchered my father during a procedure. My father was bleeding profusely for weeks after the procedure and ultimately we had to ambulance him to the hospital to get the bleeding Sheldon caused under control, including a blood transfusion. Now things happen in surgery, we get that. But this dr didnt care about his patient, at all. We couldnt get a hold of him for days and days as my father was bleeding all over and we kept calling his office, he was vague in his brief explanation as to what went wrong, it took him forever to return our calls if he returned them at all, and he never called us to check up on my father during all this. Not one time. Months later when we finally had a followup appointment, he was indignant and dismissive when we asked for an explanation on what happened.

Dr Sheldon at Western New York Urology in Orchard Park is the best physician in Urological care! He is utmost kind,caring, professional and informative with all my kidney stone concerns! Thankful to be under his care. You are in good hands with Dr Sheldon! Thank you!
