Massage Humana by Nelson Olivera

I had enjoyed massage but never until Nelson have I felt its potential for healing. Pressure, tension and blocked energy yield to his intuitive touch readily, a touch which conveys understanding and inspires the body to confide in them. Massage with Nelson is interactive, we tell him when we need more or less pressure. Its done more to enliven and bring ease to these old bones than I might have thought possible.

What’s most notable about Nelson is that he intuitively knows where to go and what to do. Years of study and practice are one thing, but Nelson, perhaps without his knowledge, seems to sense what needs work most. In my case, I evidenced him zeroing in on old, old, old pain and where it’s stored. Nelson is indeed a bodyworker, a healer, when it comes to addressing more than sore muscles. After my first session with him, I imagined myself feeling a bit more free. After the second, I knew for a fact that I was.

This was my first massage with Nelson and certainly won't be my last. His studio is comfortable and conveniently located in downtown Santa Cruz and Nelson couldn't have been more easy going and accommodating. His knowledge and intuition of the body is impressive and the use of his entire body during the massage shows how fully invested he is in giving his clients the best treatment possible. I left feeling light, relaxed, rejuvenated and strong. Thank you Nelson for providing me with an amazing and transformative experience.

Nelson is an excellent therapist. He was able to identify sore spots and tight muscles and expertly worked to loosen them up. I walked way feeling renewed and refreshed.
