Massage Envy

I have been going here regularly for about a year and it has been consistently great. The massages really help with both relaxation and pain relief. They understand where the pain points are and focus on them.

I’m extremely disappointed with Massage Envy’s deceptive and coercive tipping practices. My wife has been a loyal member, paying $70 per massage. However, we recently found out that the tip suggestions on the payment screen are calculated based on the $150 non-member rate, not the $70 she actually paid. This misleading setup resulted in her unknowingly tipping 20% of $150—$30 per visit instead of $14. Over just 7 visits, she tipped a total of $174, when a fair 20% tip based on her actual payment would’ve only been $98. That’s a $76 difference—all due to a dishonest interface designed to manipulate well-meaning customers. To make things worse, the front desk staff asks for gratuity directly after each session. Of all the locations El Paseo is my favorite. Always friendly, helpful staff & expert therapists. My person last night, Xiuhua who goes by the English name Kelly, was exceptional! I asked for medium firm & it perfect for me. Obviously she can also deliver deep tissue if wanted but for me I wanted the muscles to relax & she did it! I had the best night sleep & feel great this morning! Stellar!! Thank you Kelly!!

Staff aren’t very friendly. I had a Microderm done and instead of applying product in an upward motion, it was applied in a downward motion . She was also very rough when applying the products. She did not leave the room for me to undress nor did she put a blanket on me to cover up my body. (She used a shower towel, which did not cover me up) This was not by any means relaxing . The room was very clean and lightning was perfect, that’s my reason for two stars

Hiraku is a great masseuse. She is my go to every other week. Lisa at the front desk is great, too. They are very welcoming and professional. I have gone to various Massage Envy locations in Northern California. This location is definitely one of the best.
