Massage Envy

I absolutely loved my experience at Massage Envy! As a barber and hairstylist, my body takes a serious toll, so I decided it was time to give myself the relaxation I deserve. From the moment I stepped through the door, Lauren, the manager, greeted me with warmth and made everything feel so easy and welcoming. They even offer 2 hours of free parking, and there’s tea to sip while you relax! I was paired with Kitty, and let me tell you, she worked wonders on all my problem areas. She was super friendly, professional, and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. The massage was absolutely amazing, and checkout was smooth as can be. I even got a cute goodie bag for purchasing a membership! 100% recommend. I’ll definitely be back! 🫶🏽

I left speechless. I flinched through the entire massage and the therapist kept digging in. I asked for a massage not to be kneaded with an elbow. And certainly not trigger point. The way she moved and tucked my body parts, I felt like a cadaver. And met me at the door with 2 oz of water. I haven’t been able to sleep the last two nights I’m so sore. Soooo terribly sore. And when she said come back again…NEVER!

I received a Massage Envy gift card from a friend as a thoughtful gesture for some much needed self-care. Unfortunately, I’ve now had three separate appointments canceled each time with no real solution offered. I initially thought this might be an issue isolated to one location, so I’ve tried scheduling at Oak Lawn, Orland Park, and South Loop. Sadly, I’ve had the same disappointing experience at all three. It’s incredibly frustrating to plan time for an appointment especially when it involves taking off work, rearranging my schedule, or commuting a considerable distance only to receive a last-minute cancellation call. I visited Massage Envy on 6/4/2025 for a 90-minute massage with hot stones due to neck pain. I arrived on time, was checked in quickly, and after about 10 minutes was told my therapist was running late but that I’d still get the full service. She finally showed up and I was taken to the room around 11:33–11:35am. Once there, the therapist left again to say the hot stones weren’t added, despite me specifically booking them. After the massage, no receipt or total was provided—just a prompt from reception asking how much I wanted to tip. I later found out I was charged $283, including a $30 fee for hot stones, even though they were included in the line item.
