Drove through a snow storm from New Hampshire to find out my doctor was remote despite calling the office the day of. Unclear communication with no feedback, non personable experience, and no progress whatsoever.

Never again, another wasted appointment where no one listens and just make you run around to all these other doctors for no one to still listen you and tell you something is no related to the problem and what not. DONT RECOMMEND AT ALL UNLESS YOU WANT TO WASTE THE TIME FOR A 5 MINUTE APPOINTMENT AND MADE UP NOTES IN YOUR CHART!

I am writing this review as a sort of public service. Mass General Gastroenterology not only failed to treat my illness, they actually caused me further pain and suffering. I would like to prevent others from having to endure the same pain I did dealing with this shameful organization. One day, out of the blue, I woke up with my stomach blown up like a pregnant woman’s. At the time I was 24 years old and an active bodybuilder. I went from a six pack to third trimester over night. I went through a bunch of tests and procedures with my local GI (including a colonoscopy and endoscopy, a misdiagnosis of SIBO, antibiotics, etc.) before moving on to Mass General. There I was placed under the care of Dr. Kyle Staller and Nurse Practitioner Raina Basak. I had a handful of tests run on me. Some

I have never been so impressed with a team of healthcare professionals in my entire life. Be prepared this deserves DETAIL. First I’ve gone to numerous hospitals in the past 2 years- I have been a human pincushion, had every test under the sun, was in patient 6 times my longest stay 2 and half weeks. I even flew to Mayo Clinic in Rochester- they dismissed it as anxiety and IBS. I’ve been put on every medication you can think of, I’m 19 and to say this has ruined my life is the least of it. I was 20 minutes late due to an incident in Boston, Dr Valez personally called me and then held my appointment. His team was in rush when I got there, they listened to me and asked in-depth questions for an hour. Spoke with so much care, knowledge, and professionalism you could imagine. They left to co

The Dr didn't listen, and instead offered me a psychiatrist. He tried being kind and failed horribly as he told me "being an empath", and sensitive to people was my problem..that problem being unable to eat and losing over 80lbs in a yr and a half. I left in tears and hopeless on ever feeling better. Update- I now have lost more than half my body weight, over 100lbs. The illness I was told I didn't have, I had. I asked the dr if I could have MALS and he said my scans were negative. On Oct 8th, I went in for open abdominal surgery for MALS in CT. I'm now under severe malnutrition according to the ASPEN criteria. I'm healing but the damage has been done.
