Mass General Brigham Urgent Care (Natick)

The service here is ok, except for the long wait time. However, be careful of any medical equipments they provide to you. I was there with an ankle sprain. The doctor gave me a support boot and told me it would be covered by my insurance. This boot is about $60 from my search, but the provider for MGB, name Surgi care, sent a $400 bill to my insurance. After my insurance paid them over $200, which is already over 3 times of the actual price of this support boot, Surgi care sent me another bill asking for another $181 and threatened to charge more late fee if I did not pay immediately. In another visit to another MGB orthopedic department, this Surgi care again tried to bill my insurance $105 for a $35 ankle brace, and sent me a separate bill for $45 more. This is my go-to location for urgent care needs, even though the Newton location is closer. The service and care I receive are consistently good. The wait times are reasonable. Try to be there when they open for a shorter wait.

Walking into the main lobby, you are greeted by the receptionist who takes your ailment, insurance and payment. Had to come in waited about five minutes and was taken into the exam room where a nurse asked questions, took vitals and later blood sample and nose swabs. The doctor came in after the test results were available. She explained next steps and prescribed medication to my pharmacy. All during this process everyone was professional, kind, and informative. I appreciate the great care at this urgent care. *****Please make sure to call first to determine if they have an X-ray technician on duty.*****

The girls at the front desk were nice, but there is no "urgent" care given here. It's not even busy, and the guy who brought my wife to the room was rude to her. She says the Dr. Lady was nice but 25 minutes without anyone checking while she is in pain is just unacceptable. Horrible. I told them I'd give it 10 more minutes before getting my $50 copay back and going someplace better! They did it all and called in the prescription in that 10 minutes....

I was seen quickly and given a careful assessment with just the right meds to resolve it. Super pleased.
