My mom was a resident on the skilled nursing unit of 5 Ramage for nearly 4 years. I recently transferred my mother to another facility for a few different reasons. The first reason is that over the years, there has been a tremendous turnover of staff and the new staff members were not providing enough stimulating activities/events for the residents. Also, aside from physical therapy, no one was encouraging my mother to walk on a daily basis. She would be left sitting on a recliner in her room day in and day out. However, there are some staff members who I have had the pleasure of getting to know over the years who have provided excellent care to my mom and I would like to mention them; Jaime, the nurse on 5 Ramage is a patient, compassionate, and understanding nurse who is always willin
My father was in rehab at Masonicare in April of 2025 and it was a terrible experience. He barely got physical therapy…maybe 1/2 hour once a day—certainly not what you’d expect from an inpatient rehab hospital. The room was dreary and dismal. The nursing care was terrible (I am a nurse so I feel qualified to judge this.). I was shocked at the quality of care he received. I had to literally search for a nurse one day and she was of no help. She couldn’t even tell me where to get ice for dad who was there to rehab from traumatic knee replacement surgery.). I was employed by Masonic Home in 1983 and when Ed Kilby was in charge, and back then the facility was a beautiful clean place and the staff was top notch. I was shocked at how dirty and deteriorated things have gotten—-from the fro
My mom has unfortunately wound up in the care of Massonicare. I have to say floor 5 ramage you guys are the best! Also, floor 2 staff is amazing compassionate to the residents. It's nice to see the residents up doing activities and not roting in bed being neglected like some facilities. This is the first nursing home I dealed with that provides good care and attention to the residents. I see the love and joy the CNAs put into their care for the residents. I put all my trust into them caring for my mom with Alzheimer's disease and I like what I see. When I can't be there with my mom I know she is getting good care. I appreciate all the feedback and communication with staff as well. I'm glad my mom is here. Thank you to all the CNA's and nurses and hospice staff that take care of my mom ever
It's taken me a year to think about how to write a review for this facility. My mom was here - in 4 Wooster mostly, and Sturges for a short time - from Nov 2022 thru Aug 2023. The rollercoaster of emotions I went through in those 9 months still haunt and comfort my memories. I want to talk about the good first. 1.) Dr Deshields - he was her psychiatrist and he was the brightest light in the facility. He is a pleasant, caring person. I truly felt he had my mom's best interests at heart. He wanted to get her treatment just right, so he could genuinely say she is ready and stable to be in a nursing home environment without acting out. This took some time. 2.) Another positive was my mom's social worker/primary therapist - Sarah Shea. She was a sweetheart. 3.) The nurses station - an
I was a patient at Masonic care rehab for 21 days from February 28 to March 21. I stay at Masonic care. The staff were so friendly and so knowledgeable. The PT department were fine. I have no complaints about the staffing but one thing I must stress the food service is the worst. I ever experience in my life to serve food to human beings the way it is served preheated in a microwave is absolutely outrageous. In my three weeks there I lost over 25 pounds due to the food service one dessert that I was served with my dinner was an ice cream cup. The ice cream cup must’ve went through the microwave. It was nothing Shameful that Masonic care serves food like this to their patients. Beware.
