Mary Washington Rheumatology

I have been seeing Dr. Kazmi for nearly 2 years now and i just have to say that she is such an excellent doctor. She listens to her patients, takes my opinion and my findings into consideration and is very approachable. I also wanted to give one of her team members Aimee a shoutout. She has been fantastic in helping me with a pre-authorization nightmare for medication, and while that may not be resolved yet, i have never once felt that this team wasn’t doing everything they could to support me and my unfortunate immune disorder. Thank you for providing a caring environment for your patients and continuing to advocate for me when i need it.

Called to make an appointment and was told I needed a referral. Find, requested my family physician to send one. The office called me once they recieved it. Told them I would like to make appt w Dr. Darland. Because I read online that she was advanced in treatment of fibromyalgia. Once I said that condition they refused to make me an appt. Said that dont treat that condition. Even tho it says online this doctor did. No doctor wants to take the responsibility of treating this nasty condition. Also told them I have Osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis but nope since I requested appt for fibromyalgia they refused me. It is literally impossible to find a doctor to treat fibromyalgia. Just an update: Dr. Darland did complete my clearance for my dental. I got to get my cleaning. So I am very happy about that. So I am updating my stars. had to delete my other review for Dr. Boch who was wonderful in order for me to add a new review. My review is about Dr. Darland. I have been seeing Dr. Darland for some time. She has given me problems for filling out forms that I need. So my primary has been doing them. Recently, I had a dentist appointment and they said I need a clearance from my doctor who prescribed me the meds to get my teeth cleaned. Dr. Darland again says she is not filling out that form because that’s not what she does and that I need to get it from my primary according to her nurse staff. The nurse staff also said Dr. Darland and my primary are always in contact.

The office refuses to treat patients with fibromyalgia and won't see you without a referral. Rheumatologists are who you're supposed to see... why are they leaving people in pain and refusing to treat them? I'd avoid this place.

I am super frustrated with Mary Washington Rheumatology. I have been calling them for two weeks to try and get my daughter seen there. I was referred through Tricare. Every time I called they kept telling me they had not received any referral for her. I probably called 2-3 time a week. They also requested her medical records before they could schedule her appointment. Every time I called they would ask for her birthday to check to see if they had her records yet. Finally, after two and a half weeks of calling, they said they had received the records but then she proceeded to inform me that they don't take minors!! This is after I had been talking to the same lady multiple times and giving her my daughters birthday, (which would tell her how old my daughter was). She never said any
