tossed down a one-star review, because of the pictures that I attached and due yo the cafeteria and parking. Not because of the care for my loved one This is me reflecting, and just my opinion on this current stay and visit and not my opinion for the whole Mayo organization. Not what I want To see or have To deal with from certain groups on 7th Trauma ICU, or ours / anyones children touching your toiletry items .and the droplets on the floor. thank you group.thank you much. I think your cafateria for visitors are a negative 10. Getting your food and service was horrible experiance, Maureen was good lady. food was not that great for price and amount.we accidentally wound up in the employeee cafeteria.night an day diffs, in comparison. was like walking in a five star hotel instead of the cla
Could not say a bad word about the nursing staff. They have all been great. The doctors are the most arrogant, impersonal, least empathetic, people I have ever encountered. Makes a lot of sense when after a brain surgery the doctor tells you the second day is the most painful, then refuses to give pain meds. How dense are you? Book smarts don't mean anything when you are ignorant to actual life. Don't act like you know what someone is going through when you have NEVER experienced it yourself. Dr Rotter may be racist or sadistic, in my opinion, not sure why else she would do this.
Was admitted to the ICU with septic pneumonia. Come to find out it was worse. I have rheumatic pulmonary fibrosis. Can't say anything bad about this place. The Drs here are the best I have seen. The nursing staff are kind and actually listen if you have any concerns. For the most part the food was pretty good. Most hospitals make you feel alone. I never felt that here.
OK Wife got out of surgery. I was sent to the ninth floor then they said no it’s the eighth floor now they said it’s the seventh floor. I feel like I’ve lost my wife like a set of luggage. Communication was good for surgery but afterwards it dropped.
GI doctors need to improve their communication with in-patients. There were days they never stopped by or updated me. When I asked the other doctors questions like how long an infusion would take, they didn't know and weren't interested in getting back to me with an answer. Nurses were generally good and kept me updated as well as were able.
