Mary Anne Dooley, MD, MPH

I saw Dr. Dooley on September 23. I had several tests done that same day and got results fairly quickly. She assured me that as soon as the results were in, her office would call me to set up a follow-up appointment. They never called me. After a month of waiting, I called her office, waited on hold for 20 minutes, then finally they told me someone would be in touch with me within 48 hours. (I also sent a mychart message, no response). 6 days passed, no call. Today I missed a call from Dr. Dooley's office, I immediately called back and got an answering machine. I've called back several times and still got the machine. It is clear that this office is taken on more patients than they’re able to handle.

Best dr ever..been my dr over 30yrs & ALWAYS gave me the best care. She is thorough, kind, knowledgeable, & cares about her patients wholeheartedly..love her & trust her with my life!

Best practitioner I’ve seen in NC. She’s knowledgeable, intuitive and so very interested in her patients’ health. Dr. Dooley is a special Specialist!

It took several months to get an appt scheduled, and on the day I waited over two hours to be seen. She came in, talked very fast using terms only a medical professional would know and understand, and decided after our brief discussion that my regular doctor (who has known me for years and all of my medical history) misdiagnosed me with lupus. She explained 5-6 other conditions to explain all of my symptoms. She requested her own labs, which after two weeks I still had not heard a word. I called the office myself and was told that Dr. Dooley was very busy and would get to me when she could, and that my issues must not be very serious if she had not rushed back with results. Six weeks after my appointment I received a 5 word message through mychart, reading “You do not have lupus.” No expla

Not a good start. First, my dr referred me to this dr and said I would get a call to set up an appt. I never got a call. I then called the dr's office and waited on hold for almost an hour. Finally got through and made an appt for 12/4. I waited for months to get into this dr and her staff called me on 11/17 and cancelled the appt I had waited for weeks for . This is 11/20 and next available is April 4th. I have lupus and my primary dr insisted I go and see Dr Dooley. I'm already frustrated and sense that she needs more staff.
