Marshfield Medical Center-Park Falls

I just finished my first PT appointment after having a major knee operation and the new facility is so nice! The updates to the hospital are a big and much needed improvement. My therapist was great too, did a wonderful job of explaining my recovery process, and setting realistic goals for me.

Billing department is incompetent and rude when challenged on their lack of knowledge of standard eligibilty verification and claims submission. Gave them my insurance information 3 separate times (including at intake) and they refuse to properly verify it amd submit a claim. Insurance portal and member services state they are in network and my insurance was active. They didnt know basic information about how the hospital verifies coverage and submits claims to insurance. As a provider, I'm disappointed and as a consumer, my experience leads my to take appropriate actions with my insurance and DSPS, as well as submitting this public warning. If you have a choice, go elsewhere.

My husband was seen a day after a terrible car accident and Dr. Filter who was on duty in the ER yesterday, was no help at all. My husband came in by ambulance from our house looked at my husband who was having a bad headache and neck and body pain, Dr never got X-rays or scans for my husband, just said here's an ibuprofen and some nauseous pills. Unexceptional! His head is not feeling right, is afraid to go back to ER and that Dr. Get better doctors in the ER! Not worrying about building new buildings!!

Don't go here!! They are severely overcharging and did not diagnose properly!! My ER stay that consisted of an IV, nausea meds, and a CT is $12k in total, $3k out of pocket. HOW is this that expensive? They charge $6k for the room. Not even that, the care was horrible outside of my CT nurse who actually helped me into my bed, my ER nurse wouldn't even help me with that. They didn't diagnose me either, went elsewhere and thank goodness I did as I had listeria meningitis!! Got me on antibiotics and cleared up but this place is an expensive joke!!

Only got one star because I had to. Should be -5 stars. Got crappy care. I mean was literally bullied by a doctor in this system. No email I have sent has been answered and I physically actually told someone on the phone. Still zero response. I'm leaving this review on Saturday February 15 2025. By Monday I will be hiring an attorney
