Marshfield Medical Center - Ladysmith

My dad was having a pulmonary edima due to the state of his kidneys, the only option in the situation was to take him here to wait(6+ hours) to be transferred. Huge mistake. Especially since it was a "MONDAY"?! We were told we'd be called when he arrived, no call. I called to ask his status, they put him on a bipap, told us he had pneumonia and that they hadn't heard from his doctors about what's even wrong with him in the first place so they can't move forward, YA KNOW CAUSE ITS A MONDAY. the nurse, who I guess is the wife of some retired rusk county cop, just kept telling us every excuse she could think of as to why my dad couldn't recieve proper or prompt care, mostly the reason was, it's MONDAY.... when I called to vheck on him and was told there was no communication from his doctors,

The actual clinic has been incredible. But the ER is nothing but a waste of time and gas money. My fiancé and I went a bit ago, he walked in stumbling around while I tried helping him through the door. He couldn't hardly stand without help and the ER checked his vitals, did incredibly basic blood work and said he was good to go home. Nothing else was done to help him or even figure out what was happening. The nurses kept being passive aggressive when I tried explaining what was going on and kept saying that they couldn't do anything to help him. Then why do you get paid??? Watched nurses gossiping and on their phones through the window the entire time we were there. Had to practically carry my fiancé back out to the car as he was almost falling over. Reatablisted a new physician. Unfortunately not a good experience. I have a terminal illness. She never even looked at it. I think that speaks volumes. I have been fighting for 4 years and made it thus far. Don't exactly need a doctor that let's it slide.

Brought my Dad in two different times in a month for two different things. Both pretty serious. They were suppose to send documents and referral to RL, which they never did either time. Both ER/UC are terrible for communication, follow up and treatment. Would not recommend to anyone!!

I have been to this clinic many times, at the old location and the new one. I have received great care, as have my family members. The new facility is amazing and seems to be well-staffed. I rarely have to wait to get an appointment or to be seen at an appointment. The facility is new with up-to-date equipment. There is an amazing emergency room and operating rooms, MRI and x-ray rooms, and a great physical therapy department. There is also an in-house pharmacy and a small hospital area sufficient for our area. I am so glad this new facility was built when we were in danger of losing our hospital and clinic.
