Marina Kasavin, M.D., Ph.D

My experience with Dr. Kasavin was first rate. She put me at ease immediately, and asked very focused, "narrative" type questions (I wasn't expecting this). She then conducted a very thorough medical exam. I was there at least an hour as she absorbed all of my information and did the testing. She arrived at a considered and confident conclusion at the end of the appointment.

This feedback is in reference to the receptionist who took my urgent call today. I was referred to Dr. Kasavin by One Medical because I was having major pain and needed to see a neurologist immediately. This first thing the receptionist did was rudely correct me because I mispronounced the doctors name. I told her I had an urgent referral sent over and her response was rude, short, non empathetic, inconsiderate and flat out tactless. I have never been treated so poorly by a receptionist in my life. As I was reading the reviews I see that I’m not the only person who has had this experience with the receptionist. Dr. Kasavin is an extremely charming and caring doctor who takes time to talk with you about any issues you're having. Her receptionist may come across as abrupt, but i have never received anything other than polite and helpful service. It is difficult to get an appointment with Dr. Kasavin, so try to call a few weeks before you want to see her.

I took my elderly relative there yesterday who has been experiencing neurological issues. I was shocked. Firstly her english is poor - she completely misunderstood my uncle a couple times on some important issues and was unable to explain things clearly. I believe she has misdiagnosed him. She wouldn't let me contribute my observations. Her physical examination was rudimentary. I believe that she is not only lazy but actively unsafe. Also, I agree with the other reviews that the receptionist is rude and dismissive.
