Original post: This was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a doctor’s office. From the moment I sat down, I felt unwelcome. The first thing the nurse said to me was, “Why are you here?”—as if my presence was unexpected or inappropriate. I explained that I had been instructed to schedule a follow-up appointment and simply took the date I was given. I was then told that I had only been scheduled for a 10-minute appointment and that nothing I needed could be addressed in that time. I needed to find a dermatologist and got so lucky when I found Dr. Vega-Suarez through a Google search. I went to her Saint John location in the Powers Health building on Wicker Avenue. I was nervous about the appointment but also knew i needed to have my concerns addressed immediately. I am so grateful for this doctor and her assistant because they were so kind, empathetic, and professional throughout the entire visit. I truly felt at ease and totally confident in Dr. Vega-Suarez’s knowledge of her findings. I highly recommend her if you are in need of not just a dermatologist, but one who genuinely values her patients’ feelings and needs.

10/10 recommend Margarita! I have been to several dermatologists in the area and she is by far the best. Personable, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Found my forever derm!
