Last week, Dr. Marcus performed an emergency thrombectomy on me. He saved my life, I am completely recovered and back to where I was before I had my emergency. It was a very scary situation where he kept his composure, was respectful to my friend and family members and was extremely professional. He followed up with a visit in the hospital and a phone call after I returned home. I owe him and the rest of Norwalk hospital my life.

A successful surgery from a talented surgeon with a good bedside manner. I couldn't have been more pleased. In my many follow-ups, he always gave me time to ask important questions, which is key after surgery. If I had to do it again, I would ask for Dr. Marcus.

5 months post op C5-C6 discectomy with artificial disc replacement. For over a year I had right neck/shoulder pain and discomfort. I was seen by an orthopedic doctor who referred me to a chiropractor. In June of 2022 I was seen by a pain specialist who sent me for an MRI. A ruptured disc was the source of my pain for so long. I was told I needed a neurosurgeon due to the extent of the rupture and the risk to cord damage. I shared my image with a PA friend who passed the image along to Katie Swan. PA to Dr Marcus. Words of praise don't exist to properly address my profound thanks for the fantastic surgery that Joshua Marcus performed on August 16, 23 at Danbury Hospital. I am forever grateful that I can walk again without the severe pain that disabled me for several months, He is well educated, coupled with exceptional skills to restore my lower lumbar c4-5 region, including some metal parts. I opted for the surgery without hesitation or reservation. He and his staff Dr. Finnegan & Porto, are brilliant MD's. He truly is a remarkable Surgeon, that I respect and trust.

I never imagined that at age 44 I would be in incapacitating pain from a severe back injury and thanks to Dr. Marcus and his caring staff I am able to walk again. His staff was so responsive: from fitting me into Dr. Marcus’ schedule for surgery right away, to filling out disability forms for work, to referring me to physical therapy, I felt taken cared of. All my concerns and needs were promptly addressed and resolved without delay. I highly recommend Dr. Marcus- he is an eminence in his medical expertise and thanks to him I can walk again.
