Letter of Complaint: Warning to Future Patients I am writing to warn others about my experience with Dr. Mark Hirsh. In July 2019, I received a steroid injection to the MP joints of my left hand, which contained Pyro Carbon implants. I was not informed of the risks associated with injecting steroids near joint implants. Shortly after, I developed a severe infection in the adjacent PIP joints, requiring multiple surgeries and over 200 days of daily IV infusions. Ultimately, my fingers had to be fused, resulting in permanent loss of hand function and dependence on others for daily activities. Thank God for Dr. Hirsh and his entire staff. They are incredible and very professional, courteous, understanding, and a pleasure to deal with. I saw Dr. Hirsh yesterday for excruciating and debilitating inflammation and pain throughout my entire body that I have had for the past 6 weeks.
