Manatawny Manor (Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing)

Over the last few years my Mom has had a few falls and needed short-term rehab. She’s currently having her third stay here, and I have to say that there’s a few very good reasons why we have returned again. The therapists are wonderful, both professionally and as people! They take the time to get to know their patients, and encourage them to reach their goals in order to get stronger so they can return home safely. It’s obvious that they care, which we both appreciate so much. Overall, we have found the whole staff and administration to be friendly, supportive, and as accommodating as possible.

The therapy team is very good here. They took great care of me and my exercises were completed to rehab me back home. They taught me exercises to use at home to continue my rehab. Phil is Awesome! He knew what I could tolerate but also pushed me a little extra which paid off.

My father who suffered dementia was brought there for rehab after a stay at the hospital We had a nursing meeting on Thursday and they suggested he be moved to the memory care wing as he was wondering and going into other patients rooms. We agreed as we were told he was wondering and worried. Not even him being in that area for 24 hours or enough time for a smooth transition, they contacted me and my mother saying he was breaking up hangers and chasing staff. Shocking to me as my father is very weak, fragile and slow and can barely take the cap off a protein shake and needs help eating; he cannot use his hands the hospital told us he was not allowed back to the Manot Not one person has called us to provide any answers and trying to get his personal stuff back is becoming an issue. Recently placed my stepfather in this facility, against many objections from family & friends. At first he was in skilled nursing & then memory care. I need to share that the staff & agency personnel have been absolutely amazing. They are caring, professional, patient & dedicated. The facility itself I’ve found to be clean, the food plentiful & healthy. I highly recommend the Manor & continue to be pleased with his care.

This is my second stay here for short term rehab and I'm very pleased with the staff. I would recommend to family and friends. Very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. My PT and OT therapist helped me reach my goals quickly and showed me a few tricks to make things easier.
