Maimonides Health Center of Virginia Beach

Shockingly pleased with this facility. If I needed a rehab facility in Virginia Beach this would be my choice. In the 2+ hour visit with a friend the floor was swept twice, the CNA checked in 3 times. Staff was very nice.

The room was very nice/clean and the bathroom was big. The nurses were very caring and friendly/helpful. Great experience that gives me comfort in knowing my mother in law is being well taken care of.

MOM needed a skilled nursing facility to go to after a stroke. I called and the director of admissions was short with me But ultimately agreed to an appointment the next day. When I showed The next day at 12:30 PM, she came out and told me that she had declined my mother that morning. Didn’t even bother to give me a call. Spent 30 minutes driving there. Was short and rude with me again when I told her I would’ve appreciated a call. Told me it was not her fault. She didn’t have my number and not the least bit apologetic. Good news is my mother was accepted at Lake Taylor and they were wonderful to deal with.

I love the professionalism, once when I entered the lobby. The place was so clean, and it didn't have that nursing home "smell". The people was so helpful and friendly

Staff is wonderful. The facility common areas are excellent. The rooms can use a bit of attention. The heater in my Mom's room is extremely loud despite several attempts to fix it.
