Madrid Home

Mardrid Home is absolutely not a place I would recommend to anyone, let alone a loved one. The facility is filthy, and the staff are neither properly trained nor equipped to assist residents with basic needs. Residents are often left to soil themselves because no one helps them to the bathroom, and even worse, they are left sitting in their waste for hours before being changed. This is not only neglectful but cruel. On top of that, the staff are consistently rude and dismissive toward family members who raise concerns. This place should not be trusted with the care of vulnerable people.

I ABSOLUTELY would take my mom here again if I had to. The facility is clean and the staff are friendly, caring and supportive. They really look out for the best interest of the residents. If I could give them a 10 star review, I would.

I can't say enough about the wonderful staff of the Madrid Home! It's nice to see how they positively interact with other staff, residents and families! The staff goes above and beyond to provide amazing care and a homelike atmosphere for the residents! They also provide many meaningful activities---i love when they bring in the bunnies!!

I am a current resident of the Madrid Home. We recently had a state survey team visit. I told two members of the team If feel fortunate to live in one of the best nursing homes in Iowa. The care team and administration are great.

Madrid Home may not be the shiniest and newest of facilities but you will never find a facility that truly is a ‘Home’! The staff are like family and treat the residents like the same. It’s truly amazing to see and a blessing to feel. Our Mother couldn’t be in a better place. Thank you Madrid Home for loving our Mom❤️
