We have worked with Marie for over a year after my mom had a severe stroke leaving her with many speech and cognitive deficits. She has been wonderful with my mom. Marie is incredibly good at what she does. She is very professional, caring and easy to work with. She has helped my mom in many ways and is always very good at keeping me informed with my mom’s progress and goals she has set for her. I can’t say enough about how much I have appreciated her help over this past year. I would highly recommend her as a speech therapist.

Marie Severson is an excellent speech therapist with a real talent for connecting both with people who are limited by dementia and mental health issues and with their caregivers. She was able to help the caregivers who were struggling to find a safe and effective way to help my ward eat and drink without choking. Her detailed analysis and resulting suggestions helped us understand the nature of his challenges and how to deal with them. She manages to be objective and professional while still being caring and concerned. I highly recommend her to any family who have a loved one with communication and swallowing problems related to their dementia.
