Macomb County Health Department

I’ve been here several times & have had pleasant experiences! The staff is sooo kind!! I had recently called to schedule a visit for some testing, while I was already scheduled for a visit at the family planning clinic. My problem was, when I called to schedule an appointment for some additional testing, the guy who answered, gave me inaccurate information. I had made it known that I was already coming there for a visit with family planning services but wanted other testing done (separate from family planning services) , & the guy on the phone tells me, “I don’t even think they’re in the same building.” Like how are they not in the same building???????? Whoever the guy is needs to learn how to better inform people with accurate information.

I don't know what to say, but the woman in charge here thinks she knows everything, but honestly, she's extremely racist. She shouldn't be working here. I was subjected to blatant racism, and I was with my children. She asked me for proof that I was their father. I showed her all the documents: my ID card, my address, my citizenship certificate, and all the other papers, but she didn't accept anything. I told her I wanted to call the police, but she didn't react; her racist nature had completely taken over. However, in the end, another employee helped us, and I thank him very much. But this woman shouldn't be working here. Humanity and respect should come first. I am very disappointed with this situation. Humanity comes first.

Worst health department ever, I wouldn’t even let my animal come here. The girl In the back has the worst stank attitude like she’s mad she has to work there, I was told I couldn't schedule so I could only do walk ins I drive 30 minutes out of the way just to be told I have to make appointment. Get better people to work there!! You have people Working there that hate their jobs and are miserable. I will never be back to this area even if my life depended on it. The girls in the front were super nice tho!!!

It would be nice if they posted on their website of phone recording where office would be closed for immunization… I called on Friday and was NOT told that ALL of the offices would be closed for immunizations… I have now wasted a day of my pay plus gas to run around to several offices! Thanks for wasting peoples time… we don’t work and get paid like you do, so we have to hustle to make up they time and money! 😡

Wonderful experience. I went there couple of days ago with my two children for vaccines. They are so helpful and efficient. I’m very grateful and impressed by their manners and cooperation.
