Y’all should be a shame of how yall neglect peoples parents and grandparents that you get paid to look after & take care of . My grandma passed in y’all’s care yesterday & it didn’t sit well with me at all . Yall are extremely lazy & very rude to family while visiting , especially those who are concerned & in questioning about things that are being done properly considering loved ones . My grandma had bed sores from the bottom of her back down to her middle part of her thighs do to sitting in her urine & poop for hours and hours without being changed , cleaned properly or rotated! We made multiple complaints through out her 6 month stay & nothing changed at all !!! She couldn’t see to eat her food people wouldn’t even take the time out to feed her being that she was legally blind ! Please

My mom went there in order to regain her strength and get BETTER. Within a week of her being there, so started showing signs of dementia. She didn't have dementia, her calcuim levels were so high that she didn't know who her family was. The PT and OT did very minimal to help my mom. I would go visit and my mom would be sitting in the hallway in a wheelchair. She was always so weak she couldn't even walk with assistance to the bathroom and that is what PT and OT is for. My mother entered this facility in April 2025 and died 2 months later. She could have lived longer had she had the assistance she was paying for, however, I worked and lived nearly 2 hours away so I trusted this facility to do there part at nearly $9K a month. This will be my second review of MacGregor Downs. My family member spent 75 days there and our family members went everyday. Most days, a family member was there at least 12 or more hours a day. We know the place well. MacGregor Downs is by far the best rehab center in our area. Yes, there are improvements that can be made, but you will find that in any facility. The outside grounds are impeccably maintained. You get a warm feeling as you enter the property. Upon entering the building, you get an even better feeling as the front desk workers give you such a warm welcoming, especially Sharon. Once you begin walking the halls you will quickly see the building is dated and needs some upgrades. Sometimes it is as simple as a fresh coat of paint with brighter and lighter colors. my grandma came here after a hip replacement. she was treated horribly. i’ve personally talked to her nurses, asking if i could simply get a cup of ice. nurse rolled her eyes at me and didn’t say a word. mean and rude. her neighbor was neglected. as was she. people push there call buttons and no one comes. my grandma sat for 3 hours having to pee needing help and no one came. my mom had to call up there for someone to help her.

MacGregor Downs is a excellent rehabilitation center. I have been in the industry for 16 years and it was easy to tell on the tour, given by Davieon, that this place is special. From the moment you enter, the first impression is the facility smells good and is cheerfully decorated. However, the most important impression was witnessing how the staff interacted with the patients/residents - it was evident that the patients enjoyed being there and the staff enjoyed working there. Katrina Salters has done a wonderful job with this community.
