The optometrist is racist and can improve on customer service skills. My rx ran out and I needed glasses, but couldn’t get an appointment with my doctor’s office. I made a reservation here because it’s convenient. The reception staff was fine with the check in and paperwork. I waited right outside the door, the eye doctor, Xue Li, came and called my name. She stood inside peaking her head out, telling me that my contact lens exam required an additional copay. I was confused because it was never charged by my previous physicians. It also was not mentioned anywhere in the paperwork I reviewed and signed. First thing that came out of her mouth in response to that was, “is this the first time you get an eye exam in America?” As a fellow Asian person, I was stunned by such internalized racism.

I visited Lynnwood Vision Center to get my prescription for glasses and contacts.While I received two trial pairs with my eye exam, I experienced several issues. The scheduling process for follow-up appointments was frustrating, and they don't call to confirm appointments, which added to the hassle. When I received my prescriptions, I discovered that I only had a duplicate of my glasses prescription, not the contact prescription. I attempted to order my contacts through 1-800 Contacts, which is cheaper for first-time customers and more convenient than going into the optical department, but they informed me that my contact prescription had expired less than 3 months of my appointment. Due to this lack of proper service, I will not be returning to Lynnwood Vision Center, and I’m now faced

Made a routine eye exam appointment, was quoted over the phone and in person a $105 fee. I was then asked if I wanted a picture taken of my eye to check the health of the nerve for an additional $39 which I consented to. I came to the appointment in my eyeglasses not my contacts. During the exam my prescription did not change at all from the previous exam 2 years ago. The Dr. then said she likes to see how the contacts fit on my eyes, she didn’t have my exact prescription in stock, but would I be ok with the ones she had in stock, which I said yes, no mention of a charge for the “fitting”. When I checked out I was charged an additional $30 for a contact fitting. Very, very deceiving, had I known there was an additional fee I never would have consented, especially since my prescriptio

Never have I felt so well taken care of at an optometrist in thirteen years! Dr. Nguyen helped me find the perfect prescription for contacts and double checked every aspect of her work. If you’re wary of getting the wrong prescription or want an exam under $150 I highly recommend this clinic. Friendly staff and a caring doctor.

I would rate my overall experience as three stars. However, five stars specifically for Dr. Nguyen, who was exceptional; very sweet, professional, and provided excellent customer service. I felt that one of the receptionists/assistants (out of the three I interacted with today 7/7/22, this person was the one without scrubs/they had on a beige/off-white cardigan) exhibited rude behavior and could learn a thing or two from Dr. Nguyen to significantly improve on their customer service in the future. I would still recommend this vision center simply because Dr. Nguyen was wonderful.
