I am rating them with 3 stars since while we were there for my 18 month old daughter’s allergy test, they were pleasant and professional. However we have had to wait 6 months for a baked egg challenge and just got a call 1 hour before the appointment that there was a “staffing change” and now rescheduled it for 2 months from now. They had already rescheduled us 1 time before this and this was the rescheduled date. I already made all the food from recipes they provided for the test and my husband and I both took off work to go to this appointment with my daughter. I understand that sometimes rescheduling has to happen, but it has been pushed back so last minute both times which is very inconvenient. I just want the test to be done because it would change a lot for my daughter’s dietary life
My doctor gave me a referral after I had an Anaphylaxis reaction. I had an appointment in December on the 24th , but she was able to get me in sooner because of what she saw when I went in for a checkup. My doctor’s office asked if I was a new patient and I said yes. Before I left my doctor's office my doctor personally made sure I had an appointment that was as soon as possible.The reaction happened on a Wednesday and they made an appointment for Monday . I do not appreciate the way the receptionist called me that same night almost at 7 pm. She was very rude from the beginning!( Also I was not once rude over the phone , I was very respectful. My 18 month old had rashes and I wanted to rule out food or other allergies. I researched Allergists in the area prior to calling and scheduling an appointment with Allentown Asthma and Allergy. I chose them based on credentials regardless of the mixed reviews I read on google and yelp. The waiting room was great for a toddler or kid of any age which was helpful as I filled out remaining paperwork. The receptionist was very nice. Our nurse kept up that level of customer service by being so sweet and playful with my son. We met Dr. Zemble and he was amazing! He was patient, honest, answered questions thoroughly and was great with my son. I appreciate that Dr. Zemble, in my opinion, is conservative and straightforward. My wife took my daughter to get tested for goats milk, since she is highly allergic to cows milk and her doctor refused to test her. Now, we have to find another allergist and it won't be until September to get her tested for goats milk. I'm sorry, but if she can possibly not be allergic to goats milk, why not test her? Plant milk is not the same nutrients as goats milk....
Dr Zemble is nice & caring. However he is no longer in control of the billing since being associated with LVHN. They billed me for new vials without asking my permission, they said it's allowed in the paperwork I signed. The office called me twice & demanded insurance information or threatened that the bill would become self pay. The Dr suggested discussing this with the office manager Cindy. Cindy was very cold, callused , non caring & non helpful. I wasn't planning on going there anymore since I sat in the office 45 minutes for a allergy shot & had to remind them twice that I was there waiting.
