Lutz Family Dentistry

I’ve tried to have my son seen here for 3 years but keep being turned down because “they have too many clients with Medicaid”. It is so so SO hard to find a dentist near me that will see my son. I’ve offered to pay OUT OF POCKET, but am told “that would be insurance scam since he has insurance”. No body will see him. I feel like I am being discriminated against for having Medicaid. Are they really allowed to turn away my son when they accept Medicaid?

I lived in Tazewell until moving to Roanoke in 2006. Dr Lutz was my dentist then, and I have recently started seeing them again. I would rather drive the 2 1/2 hours to get good dental care than to continue to use dental clinics closer that do not really care about their patients the way I feel the entire staff at Lutz family dentistry do. They even still remembered me after all these years, and my teeth look and feel better than they have in all these years. Thank you for doing such an outstanding job

Very nice and professional. Even when your teeth are less than perfect, they provide tips and encouragement and not criticism. Been a patient for years, never had a bad experience. Highly recommend.

My husband and I have been going to this practice for many years. They see you when your appointment is scheduled without waiting in the waiting room. They fit you in quickly when there is a true emergent need. We both feel like Dr. Steven Lutz is eager to determine what the issue may be, and fix it. If he feels it is outside his wheelhouse, he immediately makes calls and gets us to the best that he knows for us, and we have never been disappointed. He genuinely cares about his patients on many levels, and I would recommend this practice to anyone.
