My Aunt Lou was at Heckman Assisted Living for 8 months and absolutely loved her home. It is a very small community and was very easy for her to find her way around. Because it is small everyone knows each other and it’s more like family. We couldn’t have been more happy with Stacie and her team. They were all awesome! Aunt Lou took a hard fall the end of September. She was admitted in skilled nursing/rehab. We were hoping to get rehab and go back to her home at Heckman. The Therapy department did an outstanding job. The therapist are the best of the best. They did all they could do, but her 97 year old body was tired. Sadly, we came to the point of realizing she was not going to recover. We called in Sunset Hospice care to take care of her at Sunset Nursing home. The staff at Sunset Nursi

This is the most beautiful and clean facility I have visited in the Central Texas area. The air quality is superb, with no urine odor or 'nursing home smell'. Air quality is important to everyone's health, and this impacts our quality of life. The Administration is doing an an amazing job running this facility. Also, all the staff have been so welcoming and kind, and the residents all seem so happy and are always out and about in the facility. It's a rare thing to see that.

Was able to get mom in Sunset Home several years ago. She progressed through 2-3 levels of care and was completely taken care of, and loved, by staff members. Appreciated being able to visit her and see the same people being with her. That was not the case in previous nursing homes. The office staff walked us through the paperwork and offered choices for mom’s care. Mom passed peacefully surrounded by wonderful people. This is the best care anybody will have with independent living through “total care” living becomes necessary.

This is a local "second hand" store that is part of Lutheran Sunset Ministries which has the Retirement/Skilled Nursing Facility next door. GREAT place to find just about anything from televisions, couches and lamps to children's books, clothes and Christmas items...and everything in between. Their pricing is equal to if not better than yard sale prices. Great place to visit and you know that your money is being used locally at their Retirement Community.

The Wind Mill restaurant located next to The Lutheran Sunset is one of the best kept secrets in Clifton, texas. They have a great lunch menu and a daily special that can't be beat. And the prices are terrific!
