LSU Large Animal Clinic

I recently had to take my Frenchie, Ellé, down there because my local vet dx’d her with lymphoma. We went through their Small Animal Clinic ER and was quickly assessed and referred to the oncologist. Sadly, the lymphoma was very aggressive and I chose to bring her home on palliative care. She passed on 1-31-26. I can’t say enough good things about the hospital and the care and concern Dr. Hodgkiss gave her. It really meant a lot knowing that she got such tender and excellent care while away from me. Thank you.

All of the ladies were just great 👍🏻. They were all knowledgeable, caring of my mini horses, very professional & all had great personalities. I'm so pleased they were the ones I had come to tend to my horses needs. Looking forward to the next visit. Thank y'all ladies. Shelia Lewis

Ten star service, knowledgeable efficient staff, amazing doctors, sanitized well ventilated barn and reasonable price. Brought horse with slice through the neck. Local vet had treated for a week but recommended LSU to make certain it was healing properly. Vet tech was waiting in 100 degree heat to unload horse (a great comfort after I-10). Dr. Mitchell showed me the wound and procedure in great detail, they removed stitches, cleaned wound, installed a new drain system, stapled the wound, gave detailed instructions for care, sold me the appropriate medicine and loaded horse up in good order. Their medical knowledge and communication skills are fantastic. I’m waiting on the culture results to see if an antibiotic change is needed. The barn is sanitized and well ventilated. It felt 15 degrees

The LSU Animal Clinic is a fantastic place to take your family pet. Up to date technology and the staff is super friendly and caring. They treat your pet like it's one of there own!
