Loyola Burn Center

My son had a burn accident and we made the decision to drive an hour and a half to the burn center. Was truly the best decision we could have made. There we received incredible care for my son. The nurses and doctors kept my husband and I informed and put our minds at ease throughout the whole process! The whole experience was smooth and I can’t thank them enough.

My son was in a burn accident on Father’s Day. We stayed on the icu burn unit for a while. The staff was absolutely stellar! The care that my son received from the entire staff was beyond amazing and caring. The doctors, surgical team, nurses and everyone we came in contact with went above and beyond. We are going on my son’s 8th procedure there and we can’t wait to see the best medical staff when we come in. Thank you to all that helped take care of my son. Thank you for caring so much and treating all of us like family.

Very rude!! My grandpa was on a strict diet to manage his extremely high sugar levels. I stepped away for a moment and informed my nurse that I would be right back. Upon my return, I was shocked to find my grandpa eating food that was not recommended by his doctor. The meal contained sausage and bacon, which is particularly problematic for him due to religious reasons. I understand that mistakes can happen, but what frustrated me even more was when one of the nurses, who was not assigned to us, overheard my inquiries about the food. Instead of offering assistance, this nurse interrupted me and shouted, claiming that only five minutes had passed since my grandfather received the food and I should not be bothered. I had a house fire and was transferred here from Rush Copley. The nurses and pt/ot therapists (Kate and Lynn) here I can't say enough positive things about them! Jen, Mary Beth, John, Dan, Anna Marie, Bridget, lexi and if I forgot anyone I mean you too. Your dedication, heart and hardworking is so appreciated you will never understand just how safe and cared for you made me feel. You cared for my physical as well as my emotional needs and is wonderful. Thanks so, so, so much!! 💓 - the only challenge for me is the lack of seeing the actual dr to explain things and answer questions. They work a lot behind the scenes.

Absolutely a great place! Wonderful care, they nurtured me back from a bad spot was burned very bad, love these people they have big hearts and they are very knowledgeable.
