I tried on 3 frames, each time walking over to my sister for her critique. It was odd the attendant never greeted or asked me if I needed assistance. She stood about 5 feet behind me with her arms crossed watching me. I realized I didn’t know if you could purchase from them with an outside prescription. I asked, “Do many people walk in to just buy glasses?”—a simple question to clarify if needed to schedule an eye exam and, frankly, to break the awkward silence. She could have responded with “Yes, we’ve had a busy Summer”, or just helped me. “It’s just the world we live in”, she chortled. Confused, I asked her to clarify. Dr. Vail takes her time during eye exams, is thorough, and answers any questions presented to her in detail. You don't feel like she has one foot out the door like we do with so many other doctors these days.

Dr. Vail is the first and only eye doctor I’ve ever liked and I’ve had glasses since 1997! She’s personable and thorough and easygoing.
