I’m 25 and have been dealing with devastating eye problems for years. I was treated by retina specialists in Dallas and New Braunfels, getting eye injections regularly. I love my New Braunfels doctor so much that even after graduating from college and moving back home to Dallas, I would STILL make a trip for my treatments. My doctor felt bad for me and recommended that I see his colleague - Dr. Rostami - and that unfortunately was a mistake. He ended up giving me a cataract when he did the injection in my eye. I went back to my doctor in New Braunfels who referred me to Lone Star Retina, and he was so disappointed with the condition of my eye after the injection and the new cataract. While support staff nice and do their job well, i have 2 MAJOR gripes. This reflects service i received last about 6 months ago. BIGGEST CONCERN FOR YOU: he does not provide the eye shields subsequent visits. Hope you bring them. You wont be told, or i wasnt. Saw this play out w other patients they were complaining when checking out .I cannot imagine a world where your car insurance will be valid driving this way. ALSO: He REPEATEDLY touched my eyeballs with his bare hands.Not knocking his intervention, but glove up. I was on chemo, then 1 year medical isolation for different thing after. He treated me throughout. that put me at high risk for not only infection but severe complications. I told them and him before, he did it anyway. ***but not every time***. Across multiple visits though.

Dr Matt Rostami is a caring & great Retinal Specialist. He was recommended to me by my ophthalmologist to check the vitreous floaters in my eyes. He was very detailed and settled my fears I had about floaters and retinal detachment. His entire office staff are always so pleasant and makes you feel comfortable during a stressful situation. It is great knowing you do not need to go into Dallas for a great Retinal Specialist. He is definitely there for his patients and truly cares about them.

I’ve been a patient of Dr. Rostami for several years. He is compassionate and understanding as he makes his patients comfortable receiving treatment. He explains the procedures in varying levels of education to allow anyone to understand their diagnosis and procedures. The office is professional and are good at appointment reminders. His staff are sharp, enthusiastic and motivated, taking their positions as a career path, not just a job. I recommend Lone Star Eye Specialists and Dr. Rostami for anyone needing eye treatment. I wouldn’t trust anyone else with my eyesight.

I have been a patient of Dr. Rostami for a couple of years. He has a calm demeanor and a great bed side manner. He is very knowledgeable and professional when it comes to treating the eyes. I love the way he explains every detail of what you are experiencing. I have never been rushed through an appointment and no question ever goes unanswered. I have been to over 9 eye specialists and Dr. Rostami was the first to diagnose me with details. I highly recommend him. He is the best.
