The doctors here are great, but I’ve had a few poor experiences with reception that unfortunately are leading me to this review and sadly considering going somewhere new. I was at my son’s Christmas concert when I got a call from my daughter’s (4 months old) daycare that her hands were blue and her legs were marbled and both were cold to the touch, with no other symptoms. We called the pediatrician for their opinion on this, and my husband was told to bring her in to the office right away. It was about 10:40 and we told them we could probably be there around 11. Not safe for LGBTQ youth Cliff notes: The most rude, condescending, and unprofessional office staff I’ve ever dealt with, impossible to get referrals sent or paperwork faxed, and worst of all, no regard for patient privacy. We’ve had the same pediatrician for 15 years but relocated from Texas for the sake of our transgender child. Before taking my children to Lockport Pediatrics, I called to ask if they had a system in place to ensure my child would not be misgendered or called by the incorrect name publicly (effectively outing her). They assured me they absolutely had a system in place and would love to be our new provider. At our very first appointment, after checking in, the receptionist continued to refer to our child by the incorrect name in front of an entire waiting room while discu

Most unprofessional office staff that you can find. They are beyond rude and condescending. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs. Long wait times no return calls. They mis handle the simplest of paper work for back to school students. There are better more professional offices that actually care about there patients.

Lockport peds and Dr. Herendeen are exceptional. Dr. Herendeen is kind, patient, thorough and extremely knowledgeable. Every time we go in our concerned are always addressed, never rushed and with evidence based advice that applies to our family. We are beyond grateful and fully trust our 1 week old in his care.

Disgusted with the women who answered the phone. My husband is autistic and doesn’t communicate well but she wouldn’t know that because she jumped to conclusions. Instead of asking me why I’m calling on his behalf she made a snark comment to what she thought was under her breath or to a coworker who knows. To which I called her out for saying so. I simply called to discuss whether or not he needs an appointment with them or can direct me to where he can go as THE INSURANCE CARD STATES TO DO SO. Absolutely foul that you have someone working for you who disrespects someone over the phone so effortlessly.
