Lockport Memorial Hospital

I was admitted through the emergency room. All 10 inpatient beds were full so I spent my two days in an ER bay. However, it was a large room with glass doors that closed. They were crazy busy, with a police incident and an arrest, yet my care was appropriate and I got everything I needed. The facility is beautiful but too small. We needed a lot more beds than just ten.

My husband was experiencing extreme dizziness and nausea. We were checked in almost immediately. The reception was very friendly and helpful. We were triaged within 10 minutes. All of the staff that we met were helpful and friendly. We were checked on regularly and updated with the test results. All of the nurses that we saw were friendly and helpful. My husband had to be admitted overnight. Since I needed some sleep, I left the hospital in the dark. The guard in the foyer, which provided a sense of comfort, walked me to my car. My husband’s hospital room was awesome. He praised the “egg McMuffin” breakfast as amazing. Overall, the experience was excellent and admittedly, so much better than expected.

If you are having a medical emergency please go elsewhere. After several experiences with myself and loved ones, I can honestly say that they do NOT have competent doctors on staff to order/oversee any diagnostic procedures beyond basic labs and x-rays. They will send you home, regardless of your condition, and advise you to contact your PCP. Truth. I can't fathom how this facility managed to get certified. Please. I know it's convenient but your life may depend on it.

Go to ECMC !! I was brought in by ambulance Along with my baby sister from a bad car accident where my car was totaled. We hit our heads, neck shoulder back pain. My sister has a knot on her right eye where her head hit nose bleeding. The provider refused any x-rays or CT scans. Accident was at 12:19pm brought in by the ambulance by 1240. The ambulance stated we would have a room right away. we waited in the hallway for 15 minutes, Then we’re brought to the waiting room where we sat for over 2 hours unattended until I asked when we would be seen as the pain was increasing, someone came out for our vitals and I requested a neck brace for my baby sister as I had one and she was say the pain was starting to radiate from her neck down her right leg . 30 minutes later brought into an express

Providers outside the er are great. The ER, youre better off going to a place where the staff care. I witnessed a nurse go off on a guy sleeping in the waiting room with obvious tell tale signs this man was not okay. Hendricks is great. Their PA NOT AT ALL. They couldn't even get their documentation correct.
