LMC Urgent Care - Chapin

What a priceless gem Chapin has with this Urgent Care. As soon as we walked in we were greeted with a warm and smiling Karen who made us feel right at home. It’s very much appreciated when you aren’t feeling well. Each and every nurse/worker were very kind and helpful too. Not only are they kind and patient with Mom, but they are very efficient too. I have been to the urgent care in Chapin a bunch of times. The same doctor I usually see and he rarely can diagnose anything and the last time I went with a severe kidney infection and mass dehydration that a day later landed me in the hospital and this doctor never took urine, refused to give me fluids (I walked in at 4 and got right in but they were closing at 5pm) because "The first try at trying to put an IV in me they missed and had to try a different vein and didn't want to". They did take blood, MANY of my numbers showing infection came back abnormal but the doctor said I was fine and just a little dehydrated and to go home and drink or go to the hospital. I visited LMC Urgent in Chapin this week, as I have on quite a few occasions over the past few years. When I noticed the facility's rating doesn't reflect the excellent experiences my family and I have had, I wanted to weigh in. Here are our observations: convenient to home, short waiting times, clean and well-equipped, friendly and professional staff who listen, thorough assessments and appropriate treatment by the physicians and NPs, clear instructions on what to do and how to follow up. As a nurse, I have confidence in receiving excellent care for all of our family at this facility and feel the Chapin community is lucky to still have it as in our community.

Needed a steroid for COPD, no health insurance, had to go back three times even after I told them my condition and what I needed they would not prescribe enough. The third time I go back you would figure I would get a break or a refill but no! they want me to pay another visit cash out of my pocket when I’m not working.. Never again

This is unfortunately our second visit in the past 2 years, but both times the experience was awesome. Got right in, checked right away. Staff was friendly and professional and left with medication to treat the ailment.
