Little Rivers Healthcare

I had my first appointment at LRs a couple of days ago, with Dr. Rachel Morse. I am so relieved, after horrendously abusive services from DHMC, to have a new PCP who listens with compassion and engages me in my own plan of care. What a wonderful experience. Amazing staff, including the attending nurse, Alison, and the receptionists. So happy to finally feel like I'm a valued person/patient, that my life matters. With gratitude for Little Rivers Health Care.

My primary care provider, at the Bradford office, recommended advanced treatment for my condition. The Dr for that treatment determined it wasn't necessary or needed. Due to my primarys lack of experience or knowlege and LR's failure to own up their mistake, I am now being billed $500 for services that were determined not needed or necessary.

On October 27 2009 I called Little Rivers Health Care in Bradford, Vermont to cancel an appointment scheduled for October 30 2009. (I had been remiss in scheduling a follow up to a May 2009 Urgent Care visit -- had waited until September 2009 to try to schedule an appointment). The receptionist from Little Rivers Health Care asked why I was canceling and I told her it was because I had lost my health insurance and could no longer afford health care. She suggested that I meet with Dr. Kevin Connolly (an M.D. at Little Rivers) and assured me that because they were a Federally Qualified Health Center I would not have to pay if I couldn't afford it. Relieved, I agreed. After checking in and having my weight and blood pressure (that is all) by a Nurse, I met with Dr. Connolly, told him that
