Life Care Center of Punta Gorda

My mom is a resident at Life Care, and both her and my experience as a family member have been very good. The unit manager, Jennifer, is PHENOMENAL! I had an issue with my calls not reaching my mom’s phone, and not only did she follow through to assist with allowing me to communicate with my mom but she was so caring and gentle to both my mom and myself. She clearly cares deeply for the residents AND their families. I would give her 100 stars if I could! Stephanie the director is also excellent at making herself available to address and resolve concerns from residents and their families, and I greatly appreciate the regular updates from her regarding the facilities and events. Great team and great care. Thank you so much!

Today the receptionist went out of her way to make sure that my sisters and my mother’s partner were well accommodated in the private dining room. The menu was delicious and vegetarian meals were delivered as well. The kitchen staff were so professional and helpful. Afterward the nursing staff took special measures to satisfy the many needs of my 97 year old mother. They were thoughtful and courteous, and most caring.

Very courteous and responsive staff. We had a care meeting with our relative’s caregivers. They were very informative and demonstrated that they are continuously concerned and engaged with providing our loved one with care that helps her to return to a better state of wellbeing. They were able to clarify which medications she was receiving and whether she was cooperating with prescribed PT and medications, and how she was eating. They are aware that she is quite depressed and have offered antidepressants, which she refuses to take. They have seen her in both good moods and bad moods. She is often uncooperative. But she is still undergoing physical therapy. They understood her well I thought. After the meeting my confidence rose in the care she has been receiving. I thank Kelly, Wendy, Jes

This is my second review because of a new serious issue and because the Exec Director assured me they give quality care and promised to follow up on the care issues I brought to her, but she did NOT fix anything. This facility gave my grandmother the flu…ok. But then they watched her decline every day and did nothing. Their doctor checked on her and said her lungs sounded good each day. I walked in last Saturday afternoon 2/7/26 to find gram in respiratory distress, unable to speak more than a word or two, coughing, weak. I asked the nurse what they were doing for her and she said Robitussin. REALLY??? She said she asked gram earlier in the day if she wanted to go to the hospital, but she said no. Again REALLY?? Did you explain she needed to go, that she would die if she didn't get

The staff at Life Care Center are incredibly attentive to my father’s needs. The facility is always clean and fresh, with no unpleasant odors. It’s clear they take great pride in maintaining a welcoming and hygienic environment. We truly appreciate the care and professionalism shown here.
