After reading positive reviews for Life Care Center of Haltom, I initially felt confident in choosing this facility for my mother's rehabilitation following her hospital stay. The center itself is clean, and the grounds are well-maintained. She was admitted on the evening of December 23, 2025. Unfortunately, I quickly noticed significant understaffing, with many part-time staff coming and going. Several employees appeared dissatisfied with their work environment, as we frequently overheard complaints in the hallways. I addressed this directly, expressing that while certain aspects of care may be challenging, residents still deserve compassion and attention. I observed that nurses were not always fully informed about patients' care details. A rigid hierarchy of responsibilities often delay

My mom has been admitted here 3 times now for rehab. She’s been lots of other places as well and this is the best by far! She loves her nurses and aids and most of the meals. (She’s limited by allergies. No fault of theirs.) Care Plan meetings are offered by phone but you can attend in person. My only negative was that therapy wasn’t present for her meeting and that’s what she was there for, but everything was handled well and all questions were answered fully and honestly. Be your own advocate or if it’s your loved one, be theirs! No one is a mind reader. Ask questions. Provide feedback. It really does help and they strive to be the best!

The only good thing I can say so far is that the facility is clean and does not smell. They are under staffed especially at night and on weekend. It’s bad when your loved one has to call you at home to get you to call the facility because they are not responding to the call button to help them to the bathroom or give them their meds. While the staff seems friendly enough they are slow to respond to patients needs. Also their rehabilitation program seems to be structured for their long term residents and not for someone who wants to get better so they can return home. I will not recommend this facility to others.

My mother has been here over a week and so far everyone has been attentive, helpful, and kind to her. Therapy has helped her get stronger daily and the food is decent. A few things could improve when it comes to their hygiene. Showers should be given as scheduled and this should be a priority for the patient. I get this place is busy and probably under staffed but please improve this. Patients are scheduled showers every other day so keep this organized & up to routine please and thank you. There have been a few hiccups but overall the care everyone shows for the my mother & patients is comforting. My mother has good things to say, it’s been a pleasant stay so far.

My husband's been there 9 days. He is asked for a shower which he's never had. They came in and wiped him down like a bed bath. Hygiene is very important.Maybe think about bringing in an agency just to do showers. For patients, they should be showered every other day.It makes a huge difference in how they feel. What I would like to see improve is the communication between the staff and the patient they come into the room and he is hard, he's almost deaf. They come in and they just start moving things around or doing things and don't explain to him what they're doing or why?And it's very confusing , causing him to get very aggravated. I understand they may be understaffed, so communication with the patient may not always be something that's on the forefront of their mind. They just want to get
