My 3 year old daughter fell and hit her head so we took her into the ER to have her checked over… this “Dr” told my husband that he didn’t care if she died because it wasn’t his kid.. he said based off guidelines a CT isn’t warranted but he has to offer it but if we declined and she died at home, it would be our fault not his. But then said we could give her cancer by exposing her to too much radiation from a head CT. Shamed for both options. Repeatedly said he didn’t care about our daughter, his patient! Worst Dr in Kansas. He clearly violated his code of conduct and everything their oath stands for. We were mortified.

My daughter was seen at St. Theresa ER after experiencing vomiting, stomach pain, and a fever. The doctor who saw her barely examined her — he only pressed on her stomach without asking where it hurt, and immediately suggested a CT scan, mentioning cancer risks from radiation and leaving it up to us to decide. He did not check her lungs, heartbeat, or throat, and did not initially order any labs or imaging besides the CT. I called the nurse, who was kind and thorough. She checked my daughter’s throat and agreed to run blood work, a urinalysis, and an ultrasound — all of which came back normal. When my husband asked if our daughter could drink water, the doctor responded, “If she has appendicitis, would you want her to have water?” and then left the room, closing the door behind him. We l

If you have to go to the ER and this "doctor" comes in your room, leave, immediately! He absolutely does not care about patients. I was sent from urgent care to the ER due to a very low heart rate. He never once listened to my heart, my heart rate was 40. He said it stayed at 88 the entire 3 hours I was in the room. He's incredibly rude and I understand why he's an emergency doctor only, if he had his own practice, he wouldn't have any clients!

I would give ZERO stars if I could! Dr. Li Jai was completely rude and unprofessional. My 4 yr old son was in for a head injury & he never even looked at my son. He didn't do any testing on him, nothing, not even just to check him over. He never laid a finger on my baby to make sure he was ok. He told us the only option was to have a CT scan, but the radiation was bad for him so he wouldn't advise it. BUT, if we didn't do the CT & my baby got worse at home, then he would die bc it would be too late by then. Absolutely horrible, horrible care. I would never recommend anyone to him! He was rude, dismissive, and zero compassion. DO BETTER. The nurse however, was very nice and helpful and deserves praise.

As a student he was extremely dedicated and it’s a pleasure to know that his skills proceeds beyond KU.
