Lena has deep knowledge of and respect for the human body. Her experience and training allow her to draw on whatever modalities will be most effective for each individual in the present moment. I have been greatly helped by Lena’s work since I began seeing her over five years ago in Sept. 2018 after hip surgery that May, and I continue to see her regularly for various issues and for general bodywork. I feel completely safe with Lena. She listens to me and to my body. Lena works collaboratively, checking in throughout our time together. Lena's bodywork incorporates a combination of science and anatomy based discipline, and what I can only call intuition. Her innate understanding of the human body and how pain dwells in our mortal coils is apparent, and she listens without prejudice. In addition to her highly competent bodywork, non-judgmental attitude, and stellar listening skills, she also advised me on how to remedy my pain going forward. Recognizing that bodywork is a valuable part of a whole practice, she gave me homework. She is clearly invested in my healing process.

Lena has been working with me on my chronic pain and injuries for years at this point. I see her on a regular basis. She's so great at tailoring the massage to whatever you need her to do, and I always leave feeling like we worked together to get me to a place that will allow me to feel better at my physically demanding job.

Lena Kassof is actually a miracle worker. I've seen to her 4 times now and every time she works on me, she makes me feel 100 times better. I had a torn rotator cuff a few years ago and I saw a physical therapist for 3 different sessions [18 times total]. I have had more pain relief in 4 visits with Lena than in all 18 visits with my physical therapist. She really knows the muscles, bones, nerves, joints and how they all move and work together, as well as how trauma and injury affect our bodies and psyches. I can not recommend her enough.
