Legacy Transitional Care and Rehab

I was in Legacy as subacute rehab for 13 days following sepsis treatment at Grady Hospital. I enjoyed my stay. If I had not been recovering from mortal illness and receiving nightly IV treatments, it would have been a pleasant vacation from taking care of myself.

This place has been the absolute worse. 4th floor manager has emotional issues. Only follows rules she wants. Doesn’t help the people under her. You are playing hide and seek with her. They don’t report falls or any abuse the resident brings to them. State needs to come immediately or something for the residents. I feel so bad about the abuse more than anything. Verbal and physical. The residents do a better job at cleaning than the skinny house keeper. She doesn’t sweep. Just mops the dirt and she seems to be intoxicated mostly. I’m trying to get my aunt out of there as soon as possible. The kitchen and laundry seem to be pretty good. Just read the other reviews if you don’t believe me.

Went to visit my cousin who has been recovering from a health crisis. He has been there 4 years. It has been hard but I am grateful that the facility had room for him. They do what they can to rehab him, with Medicaid cuts it's hard to have proper staff for physical therapy. Clean and wellcoming to visitors. Good people doing what families cannot.

Came for orientation and I can say I love time atmosphere. Great environment, clean building, no smell. Positive energy is always a plus with me.

The staff is really nice and responsive, they are well oriented with their residents and staff. And I love the open door policy for staff, residents and family. I’m new to the team and it seems like a team I happy to be on.
